MALAYSIA: Art photographers, news photographers or freelance photographers who is more professional?As a matter of fact, they are all professional photographers, irregardless of who they are working for.
When the service of a photographer is required for a company event, the organizing company will then hire a photographer, simply put, the photographer is 'owned' by the organizing company for a short period of time.
Individuals can hire photographers for portraits, events and functions as well. Photographers are paid to work for the particular individual for a short period of time, and more often than not, they will describe the photographers as 'My photographer'.
Who else can describe the photographer as 'My photographer'?
The newspaper and the publishing company who are employees to the photographers, and are not considered employers of other colleagues who are working for the same organization.
Therefore, instead of calling or describing one as 'MY photographer', one should work as a team for a company.
